        WELCOME TO M'Diro

 

     M’Diro is a world very much like our own.

 

     Eleven hundred years ago a group of city-states banded together out of mutual protection and shared trade. They set up a ruling body where everyone got a say in the affairs of state, it promised freedom and prosperity for all.

 

     They called it Unstoma and for nearly three hundred years it’s reigned over the land was fair and just, but such things do not last. At some point in its history something, changed.

 

     Three hundred years ago something, someone, turned the tides against Unstoma.

 

     From the lands of the Frozen South poured forth a barbarian tribe known as the LeatherWing. In three years they did what no one before them had, they stood against Unstoma and won. In those three short years, they wiped out the mightiest Empire man had ever created.

 

     Then, they vanished. They went back to the lands they controlled before, leaving behind all the wealth of the Empire to waste in the sun.

 

     Some called them demons, they certainly looked the part. Some said they were said they were in league with the devil, how else could they have crushed the Holy Empire?

 

     One thing was certain, they were an Empire unto themselves.

 

     Since the fall, the world has moved on. New kings arose out of old cities. Devine right and the church now rule. Very few free cities exist anymore. The people, if not happy, are at least safe and secure in the knowledge that they are following the path of the Gods.

 

     Only the Leather Wing are once again on the move, and no one knows why.
